#598: A Tale of Two Thieves

Beautiful, aren’t they?
Seagulls, stoically braving the storm.
Only they aren’t.
This guy and his partner in crime
are scoping out their mark.
Chris, a scalloper, bringing in his catch.
He’s been out in the cold, choppy harbor working all morning.
They’ve been waiting…

This one’s younger, but also vigilant.
No tourists to snatch sandwiches from in February.
Only scallopers and their catch.
Smart scallopers.
Chris took off his oilskin and covered
the full crates on the dock,
then brought them one by one to his truck.

Foiled again.
Back to the beach you two,
do your own fishing.
