30 Days of Thanks: Day 30
Today I am thankful for Changeable Weather:
Living on an island,
folk are connected to the weather in a lovely way.
My fishmonger husband wants to know if the scallopers
will get out,
my son-the-stonemason’s-apprentice wants to know
if the rain will prevent working cement that day,
my daughter-the-gardener has to check wind conditions
as flying mulch doesn’t help the garden beds any.
Weather is about more than what jacket to wear.
It’s a way God cares for His creation,
and a way He keeps us humble.
As this is the last day of the 30 days of thanks,
I’d like to thank Amber for having this idea–
please do it again next year!
I have been blessed to focus on thankfulness
in this busy, busy season.
If you haven’t seen this yet,
A bit of glory in an ordinary day:
And He shall reign forever and ever.
