#399: Island Friends

Here’s a day in the life of my 14 year old
and one of her friends:
It’s a Saturday, so yard sales first.
This is Mr. Ozias, retired ‘Sconset postmaster.
He can always be found on the yard sale circuit.
He knows Jesus and loves to talk about Him.
The girls didn’t find anything this time out
but there’s always next week…
Next, to town, to return books and sit in the elephant’s lap
 in the Weezie Children’s Library.
Then to the Farmer’s Market,
first to try Bagel Chips from Petticoat Row Bakery
then to admire the jewelry and flip flops at
Raven’s Revenge.
I bought some shampoo bars from Chris Kardell,
maker of Drift Away Soap.

Last stop in town:
Juice Bar for ice cream.
$4.50 each. Ouch.
The dress my daughter is wearing actually
belongs to her friend.
Because friends share everything…

  3. I love Annamarie's dress…. looks like they had fun. Annamarie looks like she's just as crazy as when we were friends!
