#223: Along Milestone Road

One of the advantages of biking around
rather than taking the car, is that
you are connected to the natural world.
On a ride back from ‘Sconset:
 An emerging mushroom
Another nearby, under a scrub pine,
probably sharing the same mycelium.
Which could someday save the world (Start at minute 8):
Paul Stamets, mycologist
Close-up. Look at the texture of the gills.
So delicate, so perfectly formed.
So invisible from a car.

  3. Hello,
This was so great to see in the early morn hour as I was downloading some photos.
I really love the texture idea and agree a bike is a wonderful to see closer up what we miss when zooming by. The other reason is I am headed to the Vineyard and thought reading here as well could enlighten me of what may come within of my journey as well.
Sorry have to get back to reading your wonderful blog.
Many thanks for taking the time to share with us.
Many smiles and best of luck to see more of what you shall come up with.
