#167: Snow Peas and Marrow Peas

Remember the planting of the peas back in April?
Well, after a lot of watering and weeding, it’s time to harvest:
Harvesting is easy, it’s putting them in the basket and not crunching
my way happily down the row that’s hard.
The Irish Marrow peas won’t be ready for another week or so:
But there will be plenty.
You have to wait longer, then shell them but they’re worth it–
so sweet and a taste of Ireland.
I’ll have to remember to save seed for next year.
Gardening keeps me focused on present blessings
while preparing for future ones.
